Hi everyone,
I’m almost done with my manuscript and need professional best Book Editing services before submission. It’s my first book, and I’m unsure how to find reliable editors.
Has anyone worked with Barter. Books Publishers for editing? I’ve heard they offer comprehensive editing services, but I’d like to hear from someone with firsthand experience.
Also, what type of editing should I prioritize—developmental, copyediting, or proofreading? Any advice for a first-time author would be appreciated!

I once sat in front of my laptop late at night, juggling deadlines and doubt, and felt that whisper in my mind: maybe I should pay someone to write a professional resume just this once, to ease the weight. Instead, I challenged myself to start: listing out my roles, the projects I led (even small ones), and the skills I didn’t know were worth noting. Sentence by sentence, draft by draft, I shaped something messy into something I could send. When I finally clicked “submit,” I didn’t just feel relief I felt like I had a piece of my own story in that document. That longing for a shortcut is real, but walking through the struggle often gives you ownership no external hand ever could.
