Confusion over the smell and effect of different oil varieties

I recently bought two different bottles of hemp-based oil, and even though the labels look similar, they smell completely different and seem to have different effects. One is very earthy and makes me feel relaxed, while the other is more citrusy and feels quite different during the day. I didn't realise there were different 'flavours' or types within the same product category, and now I'm worried I might be using the wrong one for my needs. Can anyone explain why these natural products vary so much in their aromatic profile?

It is fascinating how much the chemical makeup of a plant can change based on how it was grown and processed. I remember reading a CBD Terpenes Guide https://pharmalinkfhi.com/terpenes-in-cbd-oil-explained/ that explained how things like limonene or myrcene create those citrus or earthy notes you mentioned. Understanding these elements helps you choose a product that aligns specifically with whether you want to feel more alert or more rested. It might be worth spending a bit of time learning which profiles suit your personal preferences best.
