Whois data is becoming impossible to read lately

I’ve been trying to get technical details on a few domains for a research project, but the traditional Whois services are either blocked, redacted, or just completely inaccurate. It feels like every time I need to check the status or ownership details, I hit a wall of privacy protection. Is there a more modern or reliable way to pull registration data that actually complies with current standards? I just need a clean way to see the raw data without all the formatting errors.

It is quite annoying when you just need basic technical info and everything is hidden behind a "redacted for privacy" wall. While you can't always bypass the privacy settings, the way you query the data makes a big difference in what you actually see. Performing an rdap lookup usually provides a more standardized response that is easier to parse for technical audits. It definitely beats the messy output of traditional search engines. Perhaps try a more modern tool to get the structured results you are looking for.
